'possibly the biggest one piece cherry bowl in the world'
Brief -not to allow an 100 year old cherry tree go to waste. This tree was felled because it was encroaching on the foundations of the house next to it. Felled in slabs of about 150mm. it provided a wonderful opportunity.
The bowl was hand-carved and polished to a high lustre. A very difficult piece to make due to being susceptible to cracking in half, the piece took well over 6 months to complete.
One of only 6 ever to be made. Each one with its own individual personality.
